S&S v8.5 (sp2) toolbar

S&S v8.5 (sp6) toolbar

This bundle is optimized for MicroStation v8.

For MicroStation versions prior to v8, use the working_v7.dgn file. Certain defaults in InRoads are optimized for v7. If anything displays really ugly, look for a Preference for that command that is suffixed by "_v8.2".

AutoCAD users: use the working_autocad.dwg file. Blocks have not been included with this data bundle. This has the effect of blocks not automatically showing up in cross section, etc.

Miscellaneous Files

Smaller File Building_InRoads_v85.zip (must have WinZip or PKWare Unzip (Windows default decompressor does not work)

Errata

Building InRoads

In the Importing Surface from ASCII lab, the book refers to a file named "from_breakline*.dat".  The file does not have the "from_" prefix.

In the Site Building lab, an error can occur during triangulation if the Source Feature is created during the Generate Sloped Surface command.

When two features are coincident InRoads often generates "tolerance errors."  The solution is to eliminate the redundant features or portion thereof (Edit Surface>Partial Delete works very well for this).

Mastering Storm&Sanitary

Computing Flows: the book shows a keyed-in Intensity for Inlets 3 and 4.  Use Time of Concentration instead.  If the Network is Designed with the "Enable Time of Concentration" toggled ON a Keyed-in Intensity stops the processing with the ambiguous message "Time of Concentration value not found".
